What’s the best spatial db platform (MySQL, PostGIS etc) to use with ArcGIS on an open source platform? Want to break my server virginity…
I have only worked on Open Source DB’s with Open Source eGIS stacks.
I checked the Esri Functionality Matrix and they say they only support PostgreSQL with their server components. You could always go with GeoServer and a PostgreSQL/PostGIS stack to try and meet your server requirements in an open source platform. It kind of depends on where the data creation & maintenance is occurring.
